Module Descriptions

Yoga Philosophy in Daily Life
This lecture takes a deeper dive into the study of pivotal yogic texts, exploring how they shape the branches of yoga and offer insights into the practices and philosophies that define them. Additionally, we will examine the intricate frameworks of the koshas (layers of being) and gunas (qualities of nature), providing a holistic understanding of their significance in yogic philosophy and practice.

The Principles of Movement Biomechanics
Building upon what you have learned in your 200-hour teacher training, his module is provides an in-depth exploration of how the body moves, focusing on the foundational concepts of osteokinematics, load and force distribution, core stability, spinal alignment, functional movement, and biomechanical tension lines. You will learn to integrate these principles into yoga and other movement practices, as well as daily life for improved mobility, strength, and injury prevention.

Spanda Chakra Flow
Using the Chakras as inspiration, this module teaches advanced sequencing techniques designed to build toward a peak asana or sequence. You’ll also learn the mandala sequencing method, moving in circular flows around the mat, and other advanced approaches. Alongside sequencing, the module incorporates mantra, mudra, pranayama, and meditation to activate specific qualities and energies in the subtle body.

Trauma-Sensitive Yoga & Embodied Calm: Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Nidra
This module addresses how certain practices may affect individuals with trauma and equips you with tools to create safe and supportive classes. You'll learn about trauma and the neurobiology of trauma, the principles of teaching Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and learn to recognise symptoms of traumatic stress or dysregulation, prevent practices that may trigger dysregulation, and how to apply evidence-based interventions. In addition, we will cover the methodology behind Embodied Calm, our Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Nidra method.

Prenatal Essentials
This introductory course prepares you to teach Prenatal Yoga, covering the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy and sequencing a basic Prenatal Yoga class. You will learn the basic physiology of pregnancy and how to support your students in all three trimesters of pregnancy. If you are interested in a deeper dive, we offer a full 90-hour Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training.

Accessible Yoga
Accessible yoga is an inclusive approach to yoga that ensures everyone, regardless of age, ability, or physical condition, can benefit from the practice. It focuses on adapting poses, sequences, and teaching methods to meet the needs of individuals with diverse body types, mobility challenges, or disabilities. By emphasising props, including chair and wall, asana adaptations and modifications, accessible yoga creates a safe and welcoming environment where students can connect with their practice in a way that feels empowering and supportive.

Pranayama in Depth

This module offers a science-informed approach to pranayama, providing an in-depth understanding of breathing mechanics and physiology. You’ll explore how breathwork impacts the nervous system, enhances vitality, and promotes emotional regulation, all grounded in evidence-based principles.

Meditation and Relaxation Techniques

In addition to Yoga Nidra, in this module you will learn a variety of meditation and relaxation methods, including guided practices, mindfulness techniques, and tools for promoting deep rest and stress relief. These practices are designed to help your students cultivate a deeper personal connection to stillness and provide you with the skills to confidently guide others in achieving mental clarity, inner peace, and holistic well-being.

Face Yoga

This module focuses on the holistic benefits of face yoga, exploring how gentle exercises, massage techniques, and mindfulness can support overall wellbeing. Beyond physical appearance, face yoga promotes relaxation, improves circulation, relieves tension, and encourages a deeper connection to self-care. You can integrate these practices into your classes or your personal practice.
